Seven of us stayed at the Hotel de France Latin Quarter in Paris in December 2006, and we found the hotel to be very well situated between two metro stations. This turned out to be excellent for our sightseeing trips during our four night stay. The hotel is small with a helpful staff, and although the rooms are small, they all had suitable amenities and the room was cleaned every day. There is also a small elevator if the stairways are a problem. It was clean and warm with a nice continental breakfast, which was included in the stay if you stayed more than two nights. The Hotel de France is located near a market in the Latin Quarter. Its location is ideal, with reasonably priced bars and restaurants as well as interesting neighbourhood boutiques where you can conduct your business. Perfect for a short stay in Paris, we will certainly return.
